FYI - I have changed the name of our beer group to Wazhop. I feel it better describes what this group is all about Waz going on in the world of Hops! Also I recently purchased the domain name wazhop.com so if you enter that in your browser it will bring you directly to the group page. You will still need to log in in order to make posts or comment on exiting posts.

This looks like fun, There is a tasting first from a CA company who makes Bourbon Beer.

MONTGOMERYVILLE BOURBON BARREL BREW
There is still some space in the barrels for our big brew coming this Sunday. We will be brewing a sure-to-be-legendary Imperial Chocolate Pumpkin Porter and adding distinctive character through a one-month primary fermentation in bourbon barrels. Everyone is welcome to brew with us; you just need to bring your own equipment (including a propane burner) and reply to this email if you are interested in reserving space in one of the barrels (up to 5.5 gallons). We will be firing up the grill for lunch, and of course sharing homebrews during the day - don't miss it! For more details, visit:

Killed two canasters over the weekend. Still "Road Kill Red" available. The Oatmeal Stout will be ready on Friday. Looking forward to tasting that. It smelled heavenly when brewing. The Boston Lager is still in secondary fermentaion. That won't be ready for another week or two, but always a crowd pleaser. Let us know what is your favorits so we can get brewing another patch.

So tonight had dinner with T&B at Home Grown Cafe and they had Heavy Seas Holy Sheet on tap. Never had it. So being the sucker I am for a new crafted beer I ordered a pint. A little malty but overall very tasty. Not too hoppy but still had a distinct flavor of its own. *** stars
