Today's wine is Fonseca Porto 10 year old aged Tawny Port. Fruity and warm and makes me relax in 5 seconds flat.

Sounds amazing! LOVE Tawny Port...

We do too. Graham's Six Grapes and Taylor's are good.

Is this a sweet wine? If it's not, I'd love to try it.

cilantrolovercilantrolover on Friday, 04 June 2010 21:05

No, they aren't really sweet, just very warm and mellow.

Anybody else into Rhone Valley reds? or German Reislings/Gurwertstraminers?
cilantrolovercilantrolover on Sunday, 30 May 2010 18:52

I like Reisling...not as dry as other whites.

If you've never had it - Halloumi is worth a try. It's a Greek, brined cheese and it can be fried. Brush your pan w/a little oil and brown on both sides. It's salty and delicious. If you can't find Halloumi, you can try Spanish Cotija - they can also hold up to heat on a kebab (veggies only, short cook time)!
